Giovanni is the Head of Transaction Services of PwC in Italy, whose main industry expertise includes industrial products and retail and consumer.
From 1995 to 1996 he worked as equity analyst in London and joined PwC Milan in fall 1996. Before moving to Paris in 2003, he has been working as investment manager for a Private Equity fund. After two years in the TS department of PwC France, he moved back to Milan.
Giovanni has significant experience of assisting both Corporate and Private Equity clients. He has gained significant experience working on cross border disposal of large corporates and on cross border projects involving Italy and France.

Andrea is the founder and Managing Partner of PM&Partners, a private equity manager with550 million AUM and currently raising his third fund.
Andrea has 25+years experience in the Italian private equity sector and completed more than40 deals.
He began his career at PWC as an auditor and in 1992 he joined SOFIPA where he headed the leveraged/management buy-out team and development international activities.
In 1998 he moved to ABN Amro Capital Investments (Italy) as Investment Director developing the Bank’s private equity business in Italy. He left in late 2000 to set up PM&Partners.
Andrea holds a degree in Economics and is a Chartered Accountant.
Emanuela joined PwC Transaction Services in 2001 and is partner since 2010.
Emanuela dedicates most of her time to private equity houses and has led numerous buy side and sell-side engagements for pan-European and Italian private equity houses, covering various industry segments. Since 2015 Emanuela is responsible of the Italian Deals Retail & Consumer team.
Prior to joining PwC, Emanuela spent 5 years working in a primary audit firm. Emanuela graduated in Economics from the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and is an Italian Chartered Auditor.
In 2015 joined DeA Capital Alterative Funds, the private equity arm of DeA Capital, the Italian leader in alternative investments (listed on the Milan Stock Exchange) and part of De Agostini group. He is Managing Director of Taste of Italy, an Italian private equity fund focused on the food & beverage and F&B-related industries. The fund invests in profitable mid-sized companies with focused business models and high growth potential. As of today, Taste of Italy completed 8 investments, 1 cross-border add-on and 1 exit.
Previously he spent over 9 years at L Capital. Sponsored by the French luxury conglomerate Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy, L Capital managed pan-European private equity funds focused on branded consumer goods and selective retail.
The first 6 years of Andrea’s career were spent in the M&A industry, mainly at Mediobanca, working on several M&A transactions and IPOs.

Roberto has more than 10 years of private equity experience. He began his career at Lazard & Co within the M&A team in Milan, and after three years moved to, Oaktree Capital Management as a member of the European Principal team mostly focused on Italian investments.
At Oaktree, Roberto completed several transactions ranging from special situations private equity deals to bespoke structured financing transactions.
He joined TikehauCapital in July 2018 as Private Equity Director to develop and lead the Italian private equity practice of the firm.
Roberto holds has a Degree in Management and Production Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.
Fabio is Principal and Head of Sustainability & Strategy at Ambienta. He is based in Milan and joined Ambienta in 2011.
At Ambienta, Fabio leads a dedicated function which develops Ambienta investment strategy along the global environmental sustainability trends of resource efficiency and pollution control across sectors. He has promoted Ambienta’s approach to food and agriculture value chain investments and is a member of the board of Aromata Group, a leading Italian producer of natural flavours and colours and Ambienta’s first investment in the sector.
Prior to this, Fabio was a management consultant with Value Partners where he developed experience in a wide range of sectors and industries including industrial goods, consumers’ goods, automotive and energy.
Antonio Sala currently works as an independent consultant for PE Funds and private companies, after almost twenty years spent in various Senior Positions in the Consumable Goods Industry in Europe and ten years as a consultant in Arthur Andersen, he always worked in international environments. He is member of the Advisory Board of Neurberger Berman Renaissance, an Italian Private Equity Fund, Vice President of Farnese Vini Group , one of the most important Italian wine producer, Chairman of Nuova Castelli Group, an Italian dairy companies specialized in DOP cheeses, member of the Board of Directors of Aromatika S.r.l., the leading Italian player incompatible coffee capsule and pods under the brand Caffe Borbone, and SIRAP Gema, an Italian company leader of the Italian Market in the production and selling of expanded and rigid packaging for food. He graduated at Bocconi University in Milan and he has been awarded in 2014 as Alumnus BAA by the BAA Association of Paris. He is a Chartered Accountant and Legal Auditor in Italy. From 2010 to 2015, he was the Deputy General Manager of Groupe Lactalis in France, the largest producer of dairy products in the world and member of the Group’s Board of Director. In 2011 he led the takeover of Parmalat Group, 5 billion euro quoted at Milan Stock Exchange, and has been a member of Parmalat Board of Director up to April 2016. Chief Executive Officer of Groupe Lactalis in Italy from 2007 to 2010 and CFO of Galbani Group the leading Italian dairy company from 1997 to 2006, in 2002 he participated to the LBO of the company done by BC Partners. From 1987 to 1997 he has been a manager of the manufacturing division of Arthur Andersen in charge of multinational clients such as Olivetti Group, CIR, Snam, Cofide, working experience in the AA New York office. Previously worked in Deloitte’s Paris office.
One of the founding partners of Mandarin Capital Partners, an Italian private equity firm that began operating at the end of 2007, Lorenzo Stanca boasts about 30 years of experience in high profile financial institutions.
He was previously Head of Operational Strategies at Sanpaolo Imi Group (now Intesa Sanpaolo). Prior to this, and up to May 2005, he spent many years at Unicredit Group, where he has been Head of Economic Research and subsequently Head of Fixed Income and Forex Markets at Unicredit Banca Mobiliare, the investment banking arm of UniCredit Group of which he was one of the founders.
Lorenzo Stanca is author of various papers and co-author of books on various subjects in the field of economics and finance. He has been from 2001 to 2004 and from 2006 to 2010 chairman of the Italian Business Economists Association. He is a member of Scientific Committee of Osservatorio Asia, an Italian Think Tank on Asian affairs.
He holds a degree in Economics from Bocconi University, where is has also lectured in various courses over the years.
Francesco di Valmarana, Partner at Pantheon joined the firm in 2008 and has 21 years of private equity experience. Francesco is a senior member of Pantheon's European investment team and a member of the European Investment Committee, the Co-investment Committee and the Global Credit Committee. Francesco was previously with Unigestion, where he managed the firm’s global secondaries programme. Prior to Unigestion, he was a partner and co-founder of the European venture capital firm DN Capital, having spent three years prior to that as part of the European investment team at Advent International. Prior to Advent, Francesco was at Merrill Lynch, where he worked for five years on the investment banking team in their London, Hong Kong, Rome and Milan offices. While at Merrill Lynch, Francesco worked on a number of high profile transactions across several industries and products. Prior to Merrill Lynch, he worked at Procter & Gamble as a process engineer.

Prior to founding Antares AZ I, he co-managed Equity Investment activities of GE Capital Italy and he led a number of private equity key deals at Interbanca (ABN Amro).
